A Horse is a Horse...

Of course, of course. Ha! 10 points if you remember that one!

So, if you haven't gotten the hint yet, the theme for this week is horses. I was told that horses are one of the hardest things to animate, and I don't disagree. I enjoy these types of challenges. If only I new how to animate fire. I could turn him into a Nightmare. How cool would that be?

RAWR! I'm a Dinosaur!

No not really, but that would be awesome, right?. Who hasn't imagined that they were a dinosaur at least once in their life? I know you have...don't lie.

Anyways, as a class assignment, I had to animate a T-Rex. I had fun with this. Focus on weight and balance were key on this one. It was hard to imagine an animal we've never seen before and bring it to life. Luckily there are plenty of resources out there on the interwebs to help give us an idea of how they may have walked, or in this case, ran.

Back to the Drawing Board

Aladdin's Lamp from joeskrilla on Vimeo.

It's been a while. First off, our production class animation turned out pretty good. I was quite happy with the results, as I'm sure the others were as well. It was a tough 2 quarters, but we pulled it off. Good job everyone.

With the end of the quarter, my internship with Double Take ended. It was a great experience and I had fun animating for them on Smoking Bloomberg. <--- click me...you know you wanna

Enjoy the videos guys. Till next time.

Aladdin's Lamp

It's been a while. A lot has happened in the past few weeks. Over our spring break I was able to land an internship at Double Take. I'm pretty happy about this. The experience has been great so far.

Just recently, our production class began to animate for Aladdin's Lamp. I can't wait to see how everyone's scenes turn out, especially those that contain 2D animation.

I left you with my first scene.

Monster Walk

This is the final video I'll be uploading. This was my first assignment for my advanced animation class. We were supposed to do a walk cycle with a theme. My theme was "Hungry". After playing around with a few ideas, I finally decided on making MooM into a starving monster.

By the way, you should check this out. You'll be entertained: RabbitHoles 3D Motion Holograms

Rome

So, here's another one of my animations. The requirements for this one was supposed to have a character using a prop of some sort. Well, I was watching the series Rome on my computer and I decided that I wanted to turn MooM into a Roman soldier. This is what I came up with.

Dog Walk

Hey out there. So, as promised another animation. This was an interesting animation because the rig lacked controls on the face and ears. I ended up putting keys on the bones that controlled the ears to add some motion. I think it turned out all right.
